I began painting in high school in Montgomery, Alabama. I received a BA in studio art with an emphasis on painting at Hollins University in Virginia. While there, I spent a semester abroad studying art and interior design in Florence, Italy.
After college, I earned a degree in Interior and Environmental Design at the University of California Los Angeles. My professional work began with a combined ten years managing projects for Madeline Stuart in LA and Jackye Lanham in Atlanta.
Since moving to Atlanta and starting a family, I have continued to work on design projects and paint. For me, color is always the starting point. I am drawn towards anything with a patina, faded color, a little worn, loved, & imperfect.
