Elaine Jackson

Elaine learned to paint in her teenage years growing up in Middle Georgia. She received her degree in Journalism/PR at Texas Christian University and worked in Advertising in, but continued to paint and develop her style on canvas and started to participate in Art Shows around the Southeast. Elaine now lives in Nashville, TN with her husband and 2 daughters. She paints full-time now and continues to participate in shows in the Nashville area as well showing her work in shops around town.

Elaine particularly enjoys painting architecture. She started out with painting Southern scenes of Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA and it was through those paintings that interest grew from her clients to start painting Home Portraits. These Home Portraits have now become a major part of Elaine’s business today. Creating a memory so personal like a portrait of a home brings as much joy to Elaine as the homeowners themselves. Elaine’s portraits have also now expanded to include Wedding Portraits of Churches and Bridal/Bridesmaid Bouquets and also Pet Portraits.

Other favorite works of art that Elaine does are Florals and Still-lifes. Subjects she particularly enjoys are Hydrangeas and Peaceful Garden scenes.
